Three steps
From a dull Sunday to full throttle
Find and book
Search by place and date, and choose a boat with or without a skipper. If you don't have a boating licence, we filter those out.
Meet the owner at the dock
The owner meets you, shows you the boat and covers the essentials. At launch, the deposit is reserved at this point, not charged.
Out on the fjord
Just go. The aim is that the deposit is released as soon as the boat is returned, and that the agreement between you and the owner is settled before you cast off.
Safety first
Know where you stand before you leave the quay
What people fear most about sharing a boat is the bill if something breaks. We sell no insurance and do not pretend otherwise: the rental agreement is between owner and renter, and the cover is the owner's own. What we do is say plainly what is actually required — ordinary leisure-boat insurance usually does not cover renting out, and that has to be cleared with the insurer before the first trip.

- ✓Everyone will be verified with BankID at launch. We require a boating licence where the law requires it.

What could your boat earn?
When we open, you set the price, which days the boat is available and who gets to rent it. Work out what your boat could bring in — there is no ceiling; it is set by the boat and your local market. The aim is that payment and the contract run through Sailfloat.
You set the price yourself – no ceiling. The currency follows the country the boat is in.
Four days is one long weekend a month. Most boats rent out fewer days than the owner expects — set the number you actually believe.
At launch: you approve every request yourself, and the rental is paid out automatically after the trip. Neither is in service today.
