Your boat can work for you
A leisure boat costs money every month it sits still — moorage, insurance and depreciation run whether you use it or not. Let it earn some of that back on the days you were not going out anyway.
You set the price yourself – no ceiling. The currency follows the country the boat is in.
Four days is one long weekend a month. Most boats rent out fewer days than the owner expects — set the number you actually believe.
Hand over the key to a local partner. Forget the rest.
The plan is that where we get a service partner, you can let them handle everything — cleaning, keys, handover and support. No partner agreement has been signed yet. Sailfloat will connect you.
Guest communication
When we open: the partner responds to renters and coordinates every request for you.
Key handover
The partner will meet the renter at the dock, give a walkthrough and bring the boat back in.
Cleaning & preparation
The aim is that the boat is cleaned, fuelled and checked before every trip — and after.
On-trip support
The partner will respond if something happens, and document any damage.
Photos & listing
The plan is that the partner can take photos and help you set a price.
Payout at launch
When we open: the rental income goes straight to your account. You never lift a finger.
You keep around 70%, the partner does the work
Self-managed gives you 88%, but then you meet the renter yourself. With Total, the remaining share will cover a local partner who handles everything — for owners who would rather not deal with cleaning and handovers. No partners are in place yet.
Register your boat- • Sailfloat is only a platform. We own nothing and never touch the boat.
- • A verified local partner will carry out the service and be responsible for it.
- • We connect you with the partner and take a referral share from them.
- • No partners are in place yet. We are building city by city.
How to become a host
Register the boat
Tell us where the boat is and what kind it is. Photos, price and description come afterwards, on your own page — whenever it suits you.
Manage the calendar
When we open, you block the days you want the boat yourself, and approve every request if you want. There is no calendar to keep yet.
Meet the renter — or let a partner do it
Meet the renter at the dock yourself, or choose Sailfloat Total where we have a local partner — then the partner does the handover, not us.
Get paid
At launch: payout straight to your account about 24 h after a completed trip. The insurance is your own — clear rental with your insurer before the first renter.
Who you are talking to
I am Zagros Nyseth, and I am building Sailfloat alone from Oslo. There is no customer-service department here: register a boat and it is me who reads it and me who answers you. Sailfloat is not registered as a company yet and has not taken a single krone from anyone. It says so in the terms, and I say it here too.
